This year the plan was to host a big Memorial Day cook out but it just wasn’t in the cards. But that didn’t stop me from gathering a few things to celebrate with just the family! I’m a big fan of using red white and blue for a color scheme, because if you are smart about it, you can use the items for more than just the 4th of July! An Americana theme works for really any summer party and can be used over and over! Love it!
Most of the time we have a whole lot of kiddos joining us for our summer get-togethers so I tend to use things that are kid-proof and that I won’t cry over if it gets broken. Learned that lesson the hard way! So here is what I reach for when hosting all the kiddos.

I may save the fun things just for the adults! I’m a big fan of Vintage Americana and am a believer that galvanized items can fit into just about any theme! So here are my go-to Americana items for the more adult-only crowd. These things I may cry over if they break haha!

Now, the best part is so many of these things can be stored for next year’s party and I can slowly add to my collection of party decorations! Much to my husband’s dismay when he has to take out and put back all the boxes of decorations from storage!
